We had the 2018 Vintage on 9/14-15/24. A real good PN from CA. The two wines I had from Gaps Crown had a wonderful mouthfeel. Fruit forward with tastes of black cherry, black raspberry, cinnamon and cassis. I did not the earthy notes others commented on. A real good CA PN. Darker tones compared to other Sonoma wines.

Nice medium to pale ruby, darker than most Pinot’s. Nose of tart cherries, cranberries, cola, and gun smoke. Smooth and multi-dimensional. Nice medium body with fruit and acidity in balance. Some smoke meat flavors across the long, wonderful finish. Maybe some mushroom notes in there too. This wine has a ton to offer. Sometimes the second time you have a wine it is less impressive because of either the atmosphere, food, or company. I loved it the first time I had it, and I still love it. Excellent wine. Glad I have more in the cellar!
