I'm new to the Oregon game! This Pinot has a great red ruby color, medium-bodied with medium-plus acidity. Wood tannins up front are hard hitting, but mid-palate is subtle and finish is medium length. On the nose, there are ripe red fruits: bleeding cherries, red currant, overripe strawberries. Hints of red roses, red beats, rosemary, mushrooms, forest branches, leather and wood chips sneak behind the upfront fruit aromas. I let the wine sit in the decanter for about an hour. Opened it right up. Very drinkable Pinot, but definitely could use a little aging for a better complexity. Cheers!
