Nose starts with some reduction but those sweet sweet cherries are underneath. Stunning spice and with some coaxing now I am back in Jenins tasting with Jan Luzi. Gorgeous nose now. Enveloping and complex with great breadth. Fantastic palate with unreal freshness and purity and terrific acid and tannic (elegant) architecture. Dense and juicy with just awesome texture and refinement. My goodness the fruit is so good. Stunning. Fresh. Bursting and super super pure. This is even better than I remember. It’s got perfect balance and vibrates on its own plane. Brilliant wine! Terrific inner mouth aromas and structure to burn. Outrageous length. Wow. On day 2 this goes to a 9.6 as the fruit gets even more pure, a little darker and is just ultra delicious.
