The rich and distant blend of Malbec and Petit Verdot pays tribute to The Ark and Dove ships that set sail for the new world on November 22nd, 1633. William Casey, a descendent of these original British colonists who helped found the state of Maryland, established St. Clement winery in 1976. The inaugural vintage of our newest red wine was crafted with Malbec grapes sourced from the Rutherford appellation. with its consistent warm weather, Rutherford is well suited to growing this Napa Valley rarity. The Petit Verdot fruit was selected from Ballard Vineyard, located just west of St. Clement on Spring Mountain. Arc & Dove opens with the classic black fruit aromas of Malbec, which are later enhanced by notes of fresh blueberry and baking spice. This unique wine showcases a seamless combination of the trademark Malbec silkiness, lifted by the structure and complexity of Petite Verdot
