Full disclosure, I make this wine. After 3 years of trials and a year in the market, I'm still consistently amazed by how well the flavors of the peppers and sauv blanc mesh. Food pairings are endless. Mexican dishes, spicy food in general. FYI, the Feds will not let us put varietal (it is all sauv blanc) or vintage on the label so look for the bottling date on back label to determine freshness.

Warning: not for the un-adventurous or faint of heart. The nose in this was curious: like the smell of spicy chips right when you open the bag. I was apprehensive but one taste... wow! This was incredibly smooth and light, surprisingly so. The spices creep in right around the mid-palate but are not overwhelming and are well integrated into the wine itself. Pairs well with a salty-sweet dish (we had sweet potato spinach quiche) to balance flavors. It does have a slight vinegar/pickle juice flavor, kind of like an elevated Tony Packo's pickled pepper juice taste. My mom, who usually drinks sweet white wines (while I am a red/tannen wine drinker), also loved this.

Odd flavor. Ended up using it as a mixer for a margarita. Blasphemy, I know.

Incredible nose, totally throws you off until you sip...light finish. Easy drinking.

Definitely got jalapeño in the nose, but not very spicy. To be warned I love spicy food so if you're not used to it it may be a different experience for some. A buttery taste but not overly sweet.
