The dark fruit, spice, and a bit of funk on the nose remind me of some natural Gamays, though with air it becomes much more distinctively Muscadine. Fruity but dry, it is held back a bit by a lingering bitterness on the finish similar to the flavor from accidentally chewed Muscadine seeds but on the whole it isn't unpleasant.
