2001 vintage. This is a big masculine wine with a nose of strawberry, spice and gaminess. The palate is silky with strawberry, cherry and spice. Really good length and surprisingly Burgundian in style very much in the Pommard style. The acid structure at 16 years is great and keeps the wine fresh. The tannins are velvety and this is quite an enticing wine. If you ever get the chance worth a try. Probably could have waited a few more years but lovely none the less.
