Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend
Bright cherries with sweetish aromas. Cherries and raspberries on the palate followed by a good deal of mineral notes with tannins and acidity that are not over the top.

Aug 1st, 2014Eleven years after the vintage and this is drinking well. Some classic Amarone notes here... Raisin and stewed fruit. In this case, there's also a distinct herbal note... Eucalyptus or spearmint? A beautiful match for our braised beef shanks. The acidity here does a nice job cutting through the fattiness of this particular cut of meat. Looking back at my notes, I think I enjoyed this vintage more than others I've tried from this producer.
