I’ve tried most of the Torbreck Cuvées but the Kyloe Mataro (aka Mourvèdre, aka Monastrell) is a rare bird. Notes of tar and bitumen also peppercorn and meat. On the full bodied palate sweet dark plum and pepper. Sweet and savoury. An excellent winter red. Amazingly cheap at only $26 AUD when I bought it in 2019. I haven’t seen it since and not sure if it is still part of the Torbreck stable.
