New vintage just out. Stellar as always. More fruit-forward than the 2012, but still sharp, balanced and interesting. Blackberry and roasted meat nicely complimented by pepper and coffee notes. The finish is short, but memorable. $10 at Trader Joes. Stock up if you can find.

A return to previous styles, the new edition of this TJs blend appears to be Bordeaux style, with rich mocha cherry fruit and a dark currant finish.

Deliciously robust waft to the nostrils as you draw it in your smelling faceholes. Deep red fruits, those without pits mind you, explode on your face.
As you pour this healing juice down your gullet taste the raspberry rhubard pie grandma used to make lightly sofened with the home made vanilla ice cream that was literally just sugared cream she made in a churner.

8 months since last tasting. Similar tasting notes. Blackberry, peppered beef. Short finish. Medium-to-full-bodied. Losing a bit of its luster but still going strong. You'd be hard pressed to find a better value for $10.

7 months to the day after initial 2013 tasting; same tasting notes apply, and I don't think this has changed one bit. That tells me this has plenty of staying power. This is going to be a fun experiment - have a half case left.

Nice body and how much do I love this label? Also, at 15.1% is quite effective.

I don't know that I was in the right mood for this one. Tons of dry almost ashy notes with not much body. Would be great with a very meaty meal.
