Trivento
Golden Reserve Mendoza Malbec

The 2020 Malbec Golden Reserve was 85% aged in one-fifth new barrels, the rest in foudres. The nose offers extremely clear notes of both ripe and fresh fruit, such as cherry and floral aromas, including violets. Having spent a year in the bottle, it’s firm with voluminous tannins. Silky but crisp with a nimble flow. The trick to achieving a profile like this in a warm year is the 8% dash of grapes from the 2021 harvest, even though the earlier year remains on the label (the law allows this up to a 15% share).
