Light dusky orange in color, betraying extended skin contact. The palate is tart but weighty, with a lot of unfamiliar but very interesting flavors. Tripped across this in a wine bar in Rome in 2008; ran across it in a wine store in Portland, Maine this weekend. Serendipity! A fascinating wine.
