Volnay is one of my favorite Burgundies. Not because it is the greatest Village. But more because it's always and supple. It always has a wonderful around us and is always delicious if it's from a good producer and the 2010 Vincent Girardin is just that . It has beautiful fruit great acid just a delicious wine to drink and very affordable on the Bouche wine list.

Fantastic nose which belies a somewhat less supple palate. Red berry, overt acid and long finish. Well balanced but seems still a little fresh which is interesting given what seems the higher praise for the younger 2011. Would be interesting to try this in 5 years or so.

Powerful scent of cherry and creamy honey aroma. On the palate it delivers mouth-filling flavors of red berries and plum skin followed by deep acidity finish. The flavor is structured well
