When in Hawaii don’t do as the Hawaiians do. This was served at a gathering and the person hosting said this was a great drinking wine and local. I am always a fan of supporting local and eat and drink local as well. So I thought I would give this a blind taste as a fair way to be optimistic. Well, I should have noticed the rest of the accomplishment of wine (moscato, white zin, soft reds etc). This was sweet like a cranberry juice cocktail. I guess this wine is blended with a local berry and it is sweet. Slightly chilled with fruit this would be nice as a sangria wine. But not my palette for a food wine. I have heard Hawaii has some estate wines. But this is not one of them.

Blend with jaboticaba berries. Notes of black cherry and cranberry. Some symphony grapes in the blend. Exceptionally high acidity masked by high residual sugar. Pepper finish with sweet round fruit.
