Bernkasteler Graben Kabinett Riesling

Solid vino. Residual sugar going. Light hint of botrytis.

Hot damn I love aged Riesling. This one might have been a year or so past it’s tip top best but my friend who knows nada about wine tasted it and said “whoa this is a whole meal” which is to say it is wildly apple, honeysuckle, arugula and...feta cheese? So much feta we even got some out of the fridge to taste test. Loved this. Wish I had more. Love Riesling. Get in.

This wine has aged well.

Indeed still a lively lovely old Riesling from Haubs-Barzen library release via JR, as previously noted. Color not as dark as non library wines. Wasn’t expecting a Kab can age so long and so well. Perfect for hot pot Birthday dinner for Evan. Yum.

Still amazing 22 year old Library Kab from JR. full of that old Riesling goodness and that distinctive straw wet hay note on nose as noted before for all these H-B library releases. This one is particularly lively and kicking.

Sugars are still kicking!

First wine home from a Ireland trip. Another surprisingly fresh and lively wine for its age and classification level. Got that grassy straw almost cheesy notes from this producer.
