Marto Weiss is a field blend of seven German varietals from just three hectares of land, most of which see two weeks on skins. Then all together for ten months in neutral oak. It’s a tropical fruit tea blend with beautiful depth and body and clocks in at a measly 10% abv. Aromas of naval orange, roasted pineapple, and flavors of peach apricot iced tea.
Martin studied under Tom Lobbe of Matassa and credits him for much of he has been able to produce.
Drink with something spiced - Thai, Asian, something like that.

Not quite as compelling to me as the 2017 I had last year, but still very good. Lots of citrus with some added texture from the skin contact. Held up well over the course of the evening.

Smager og dufter som Haribo-ferskener. Men også lynhurtig tendens til mus. Måske lidt maceration.

A light “orange” wine. Very drinkable.

marto worner is a young german winemaker who uses no intervention in his winemaking. he's happy to use native yeasts and does no fining, filtration or sulfite additions. skin contact wine that smells like rotting oranges. yum. fairly acidic, making my mouth water starting from the sides of my tongue. funky forsure. right up my alley !
