Amazing nose of blueberries yet savoury on the palate. Trophy at the Sydney Royal and on this showing deserves it. A delightful little mid week drink giving more interest than I was expecting. One of the better Aussie Malbecs ever. Impressive.

Hazy purple plus brown and dull red tone on the appearance. Nose of some cocoa, fruit vinegar, cherry, hint of oak, and spice. Taste of sweet oak, ripe cherry and some blueberries, zesty, anise, warm, and silky. Aftertaste is medium long finished, low tannins, with a fit vinegar note, sweetness of cherry, and anise. The silky and jammy structure of her is totally enjoyable and I don't find this often in young Malbec. Cheers. After breathing, some undesirable edgy bitterness starts to dominate. As a result, the rating is affected.

The 2013 is exceptional aromas of violets and blueberry and no greenness with delicious powdery tannins ripe blue berry blackcurrant flavours . Shame it is sold out temporarily

My first Aussie Malbec. Purple red. Blueberry and violets on the nose. Fresh fruit on the palate, with some chocolate. Soft tannins med low acidity. Drinking well now.
