Really good Bordeaux blend. When we heard it was aged in concrete we knew we had to try it since we talked about that method in class this week. Bonus points for being natural! Fruity and smooth and some good age on it — a month ago
The first 100% Monastrell (Mourvèdre) I’ve tried. Was immediately hit by aromas of honey which really surprised me being a red wine. Taste was much sweeter than I typically prefer in reds, but it was very smooth and tasted more like a typical light bodied red at the finish. Wouldn’t buy it again, but don’t regret it. Great to try a new type of wine — a month ago
2008 Alvarinho from Portugal. Aged beautifully. Notes of honey crisp apple at first, honey, amazing deep golden color, smooth finish, medium body, acidity, sweetish but not too sweet. Opens up perfectly. The best Albariño I’ve ever had — 11 days ago
Maybe the bottle had been opened for the just the perfect amount of time, but this was one of my favorite glasses of wine by the glass I’ve had in a restaurant—I had them bring the bottle back for a picture. Cassis, oak, pepper, licorice combined perfectly to create a flavor that I can only describe as exactly my preferred taste in wine. Excited to try more Haut Medoc blends in the future! — a month ago
Pungent aroma at first, almost like a farm. But then it opens into sweeter notes like peach and stone fruits. Finishes with a strong minerality. Enjoyed with a fennel salad and couscous and it paired really well! — a month ago
Immediately hit with notes of a GSM blend. Natural wine from 2002, female wine producer ahead of her time, aged in concrete. Sweeter than I usually like, but I love it. Tannins strengthened as the wine opened up and it really complemented the flavor. — 25 days ago
Set out to try a Sicilian wine for the first time (that I can remember) at my favorite restaurant in NYC and it did not dissapoint! Notes of cherry, red fruit, and smoke. Surprisingly mineral finish for a red, incredibly dry! Fantastic! — a month ago
Earthy, red fruit notes with a little bit of tobacco. Smells like a full bodied wine, but looks and finishes like a medium bodied wine. A really great wine. — a month ago
First tried this wine at one of my favorite restaurants in New York. Got my hands on another as a Christmas present from a friend who knows me too well. Notes of strawberry and licorice, silky smooth finish, truly great Nebbiolo — 2 months ago

My choice for a dinner back home. Classic Sangiovese notes of red fruit like cherry and strawberry, and some leather and clove as well. The somm decanted it and had us wait 10 minutes before he poured the first glasses; tanins were soft but got even softer after 10 minutes decanted. Medium bodied, acidic, delicious. — 3 days ago
