Bright ripe berry fruit upfront with smoky/tar notes that linger on the finish. Traces of mocha and earthiness midpalate. Berry dissipates towards finish. Great value at $10, though. Pairing with a quinoa, kale, and chorizo dish. — 9 years ago
Lemon-lime nose with some tinge of swampy green like older muscadets. Grapefruit and lime citrus on the palate, opening to hints of almond and orange blossom. Nice acidity - this absolutely needs seafood, like a citrus-cured scallops. — 9 years ago
Fantastic. Light, effervescent, and so refreshing but full of flavor: ripe ripe strawberry and watermelon with lemony edges. We had it with sopa azteca, and it let the rich spices shine. — 9 years ago
Viognier-Semillon-Riesling blend. Subdued nose. Bright peach and sweet tangerine with honeysuckle on the palate. Should be a leeeeetle colder but pretty tasty porch sipper. — 9 years ago
Lovely higher end carmenere! Full rich fruit with bright acidity and depth. Some baking spices and iron mixed in, with coffee notes on the finish. Paired with Portuguese caldo verde, which pulled out the depth and tempered the sweet fruit. — 9 years ago
Absolutely love this wine. Deep, dark blackberry and bramble, with smoky spices and dirt. Fantastic. — 9 years ago
Bright lemon citrus fruit with clear acidity - sweetens slightly on the palate. Much more yeast on the nose than on the palate. Refreshing but not a mindless sipper. More, please! — 9 years ago
A rose that shouldn't be too cold! When we first opened it, it seemed too lean and tight, almost insipid. As it warmed up, fruit developed, becoming more pronounced as it went. Strawberry, apricot, and lemon notes, not too full and ripe. Nice porch sipper. (And for reference, we pulled it from a 50F wine fridge so it wasn't frigid to begin with.) — 9 years ago
Amuse Bouche
Gorgeous wine. More Northern Rhoneish than most CA Syrahs - barnyard and funk balance out the ripe blackberry. Juicy but not jammy. Bacon came in towards the end of the bottle. A favorite out of Temecula. — 9 years ago
