This wine has good posture. The nose: vanilla and anise; grass and heat like the wet summer morning dew in the Ural Mountains. Best to give it some air. Don’t rush it, it will be forthe coming when it is ready, alas, will you be? — 7 years ago
A Chardonnay. A hint of vanilla, so maybe it spent some time in oak, but just a visit, she didn’t stay long. She had a date with anise, — 8 years ago

The Bloxom Vineyard is apparently a new site for this label. The nose is pleasant - alluring vanilla and zanny citrus and there-in lies the crux. Vanilla and citrus are polar opposites on the proverbial palate scale and while opposites may attract, when it comes to wine and food...that kind of contrast can be discordant. I’m not saying it’s not good, just not easy to dance to. — 7 years ago
