Direct from winery and suggested by them. More fruit forward style than I have experienced at Chanin but that’s absolutely not a problem!! This wine was peaking and reassured me that Chanin wines have a long long way to go and you will he rewarded. Another steal, don’t tell anyone but tell everyone kind of wine. Ripe cherries, earth, saline and soy saucey savoriness which seems to be a common characteristic in his wines. Wow — 5 years ago

Beautiful color and ripe fruits. Plush texture and good body. Finished with spice and freshness from the well judged acidity. Can be had on its own and paired well with a summer grain salad - can easily stand up to a variety of dishes and will age well in the near term I would think. Delicious. — 5 years ago

Really opened up after an hour. Very fresh and fruit still primary. Chiseled. Tannins still there but not overwhelming. Restrained dark purple fruits. Lead leather and minty fresh — 5 years ago

This is the Sans soufre version. Pure red and purple fruits. Touch of earth and bramble rounding things out. Lovely open knit style but all intentional. Delicious. What a wine. Can’t wait to have it again. A benchmark. — 5 years ago
