Strong musk and forest on the nose. Bramble, dark fruits, and a hint of red fruits on the forward palate. Forest floor/wet fruit and mild gasoline/rubber on the mid and end palate. Smooth low-med tannins, full-minus body. Bright med+ acidity. Needs to decant and breathe before drinking. — 2 months ago
Bought this not really knowing what to expect. Bright red fruit on the nose with some black fruit and funk at the tip of the tongue, very deep ruby with no fading on the edges. Shockingly high acidity, very bright red berries dominates the palate with surprisingly grippy (although a little rough, but small) tannins for how young it is. Kinda almost tastes like a good cherry candy. Blackberry on the middle of the palate and herbaceous, vegetal notes at the end that's gasoline-like. Mild minerality that lingers at the end of the palate. This wine is kinda in your face unashamed of it! — 5 months ago
Bright, high acidity, med+ body that stretches a while. Funk, a strong flavor of potting soil, med+ body. It smoothens out a lot after breathing, and is less harsh. — a month ago
Laplace Madiran 100% tannat, 2022 vintage. High tannins, med+ body, med+ acidity. Tannins are really grippy, med grain. Bright, red fruits, hint of rubber on the back of the palate. not really much notable otherwise beyond the tannins. Was the most full bodied thing at Sauced. It's passable. — 3 months ago
Nice spice to the nose. Oak on the front with cassia and red fruit, med+ acidity, high grippy tannins, full body blackcurrant on the back. Gravelly minerality but smooth. It's good, but I think I still prefer right bank Bordeaux's lol. — 6 months ago

Nice bright fruit flavors, some acidity without being overpowering, rounded instead of sharp, good body, low minerality. — 2 months ago
Why are valpolicellas so hard to find in new york? Especially ripassos! Med+ acidity, notes of red fruit first, followed by more peppery notes with hints of blackberries and leather, low+ tannins that are smooth (nonexistent?) and not grippy at all. Med+ alcohol. Has no body at all, fades within a second or two. Initially I was going to say this is average, then I realized I was blinded by my general love of valpolicellas and this silly bottle was a touch over $30. No. This was a below average wine. — 3 months ago
