Syrah by name and style. Beautiful reductive gun powdery nose which carries through on the savoury palate. Juicy blue and black fruit. Medium bodied with very fine integrated tannins. Not super long or complex but a lovely easy drink — 6 months ago
Imagine picking this up on a wine list for $140!! Yep - welcome to the famous Le Soufflot in Mersault. The Coche reductive struck match is there, along with lemon, white flowers, and mineral. The palate is dense and clearly would benefit from more time. This was excellent, but frankly a bit underwhelming given the reputation. Perhaps +2-3 pts in 5+ years — 7 months ago
Very good. Started bright and red and evolved in the glass to be darker, more savoury and structured. — 2 months ago
Completely translucent bright ruby. Shy nose. Notes of sour cherry, earth, and smoke on the palate. Light body, fine texture. High acid and fine tannin help add length. Very pure but not great p/q — 3 months ago
Shy nose. Lots of stone fruit - peach and pear - without enough acid to provide structure. Best cold. — 7 months ago

Full bodied and rich with perfume and savoury notes. Creamy — 3 months ago
Savoury complex nose. Tannins up front are quite aggressive for a pinot. Decent fruit then a floral slightly sour back end. Felt like this was picked a bit early and over extracted. Definitely bad p/q — 6 months ago
Prominent cherry and candied orange notes. Palate is smooth and elegant - steeped cherry, some wood spice and a touch of cinnamon and cola. Elegant and distinctive. — 7 months ago

An incredible chard by any measure. Powerful reductive aromatics - smoke, lees, grapefruit, The palate is seamless and doesn’t let up - serious med/full bodied weight. Med acid, complex, and super long. Complete. — 4 days ago
