My wife and I had the 2011 after recommendation from her brother who is well versed on wines. This was a great wine with veal that we prepared at home. We had the pleasure of eating lunch at the family's restaurant in Vienna a few months ago and enjoyed the experience and personnel immensely. This is an intense wine but very smooth with plum, black cherry and other complex fruity flavors. In short a great Tuscan wine. We were able to get this for just under $90 at our local Total Wine store. We are waiting to enjoy the bottles of the 2012 that are in the wine cabinet. — 7 years ago
Our family had this at a top level local steak restaurant. All found it very delightful. I personally think that this wine will mature over the years to become even better. I recently purchased a few bottles and it's not expensive. — 8 years ago

We introduced ourselves to the 2008 KH for my wife's birthday in 2014 after we had stored the bottle for 4-5 years. It was exceptional with a fine filet. Beautiful round bouquet with intense but smooth expressions of dark fruits and vanilla pencils. Tannins presented themselves briefly but yielded politely to the festive occasion as they guided the fruity expressions of plums, cherries, and blackberries through the dark and dense liquid of life. One could sense that madame anise had joined the party but confirmation was difficult. All the attendees stayed for the long finish before bidding adieu. It was a memorable experience. We joined the KH wine club three years ago and enjoy all vintages now. — 7 years ago
