Bit of a different style then your typical Hunter Sem. Bright gold in colour which is unusual for the age. Preserved lemons, a little honey and seashell. A little simple but also more forward then most. — 7 years ago
Colour is starting to fade around the edges already. It's smells like dried red fruits. Cranberry, strawberry, some darker cherry. There is some undergrowth and dried rose petals. It does taste like it is more developed than you would expect for the age but at the same time I really like where it's at. The savoury dried red fruits are still there, it's earthy, more undergrowth, iron and a little sappy. Kept changing in the air. Exactly how I like my Pinot. — 7 years ago
Beautiful aromatics. Liquorice root, earthy tar, dried rose petals and cherry. Firm tannin but very drinkable already with enough structure to last a long time. — 7 years ago
Just so good to drink. I could drink this everyday and be happy. — 7 years ago
Never lets me down. Definitely starting to mature but still plenty of life left. — 7 years ago
An assortment of dark fruits. Black currant, blackberry, black cherries. Some red currant too and that Coonawarra choc mint. Bit of the cigar box thing going on as well. Oak is definitely noticeable but it's not distracting in any way. Still youthful with many years to go. — 7 years ago
In a better place than the last bottle. Dark gold in colour. Vanilla, orange zest, ginger, some preserved lemon and grilled nuts. Still has great acid and a long finish. Drink up. — 7 years ago
Blueberry, mulberry, some vanilla oak and liquorice. Acid sticks out a little but still an enjoyable wine that got better with air. — 7 years ago
Fresh blackberry, plum and spice. Vibrant acidity and great intensity. A little simplistic but delicious. — 7 years ago
