Great acidity...and sooo dark you can't see through it. Best Italian vino in a long time.

Ruby Red with high viscosity. High alcohol on the nose. Thin on entry with a huge oak monster on the end. If you don't have the bones just do a shot of some cheap cherry vodka and rub some wood chops on your tongue. Although disjointed there is a powerful impact on your palate when the amalgam separates. — 12 years ago

Dark red, yet not the usual viscosity of a dark red. Slightly carbonated feel with chewy tannins. Floral and fruit on the nose. Cherry fruit rollup on the palate from start to finish (albeit brief finish) — 12 years ago

Not in to Chardonnay, but for 2 bones more than the regular version; the directors cut has amazing texture that coats your tongue. Tremendous finish that lasts eons and continues to delight while carrying on your conversation. This could carry you in the worst of conversations because it only gets better and the joy reaches your mind fast. — 12 years ago

Very soft and velvety tannins. A slight dirty sock component on the nose and but a delicious earthy element on the palate. Dark fruits and a touch of chocolate at the finish. — 12 years ago

Fantastique! Balance from start to finish, and it continues to dance on your tongue long after it descends to your stomach. Great minerality with a crispness that brings an endless refreshing feeling. Citrus peels and a slight woodiness. — 12 years ago

Love the nose, a certain stank; yet fruity. Great tannins that last on the palate, but no oak monster. A little bity with the alcohol and slightly disjointed going from start to finish, but loooong finish. Good value for the bones. — 12 years ago

I'm in love!!! Deep dark red with high viscosity that coats your moth through and through. Like I just bounded through the woods and hand picked some cinnamon and other spices. The tannins continue the party long after its down your throat and in your belly. The after party is totally present. — 12 years ago
