Creme de myrtille, tomato leaf, pipe tobacco, vanilla and spices mix it up on the nose.
Medium-full body, sweet entry, savoury palate, tannins fully subsumed into the wine. Acid and alcohol levels both quite intense in the mouth. Autumnal mulch, licorice and dried cranberry flavours that seems to disapate quickly in the finish.
Interesting, well made wine that just misses the exceptional rating due to the peppery alcohol level (14.5%) being too prominent.
This was my last bottle of 6 purchased in 2005. This vintage has always been better than the 2004 version. — 9 years ago
Lives up to expectations. Reduction, toast, great length. — 9 years ago
Any enterprising UK importers want to take on this stellar cru communale Muscadet?
Subtle and refined with watermelon and candied blood orange bouquet. Fine persistent flavour. Sort of like the very best Macon whites without any oak influence. — 9 years ago
Pretty straightforward stuff. Bit of green pepper with moderate acidity. Drank at the wedding weekend of Ann and François in the deep Loire countryside. — 9 years ago

Outstanding amarone which has successfully blended power and elegance. Lots of cherry liqueur and marzipan aroma. Raisin flavour with rich and velvety tannins. Tasted blind and went for hot vintage in southern Rhone. — 9 years ago
