For a Bourgogne Aligote, quite a range of deep flavour, no need to make a Kir out of this one, gooseberries, fresh cut grass, sour wild apples, a tiny hint of vanilla, make it an interesting bottle to open.
The bouquet is more of the same and the length of taste while not epic is more than awaited for the price.

Grab some Roquefort and bread and watch this wine come to life.
Just wonderful.

Pure Berries, nothing more, nothing less.
Little nose, zero tannins, not a keeper, just a lovely land wine made for summer evenings.

The longevity and complexity of Riesling Vendanges Tardives always amazes me.
An off dry, golden coloured wine with a nose full of stewed apple, honey, the taste is exquisite and complex and somehow never ending. A dream combination with Tarte tatin..

Just coming to the end of its life, no tannins to speak of, just beautiful berries, wet forest and enough acidity to make it a fascinating wine to drink.
If you still own it drink soon

"oh death where is thy sting?"
Some wines just never get too old.
This Rieslings maturing process seems glacial with enough sweetness and acidity to keep it in the cellar for another 5 years.
Deeply complex honeysuckle, hay, apple skins, citrus fruits going on for ever and ever, at the end enough acidity to stop it getting sickly....will buy again if I could find it.
