This was the wine from our wedding! For the price, it was a great choice. A strong nose of apple, pear, and citrus. A little sweet, but was good steady drinking all night. Also great on a patio when it's hot. Drink ice cold. — 9 years ago
Nose of strong cassis and black cherry, that comes off sweeter than it is. Cherry liqueur and plum on the palate. Brandy-like heat now that it's 15 years old. Quite a bit of sediment, so decanting just for that is a good idea. Great with sauerbraten. — 9 years ago
Nose of antiseptic, but not as much heat as it lets on. Savory on the palate, awash with cranberries. Thoroughly did not enjoy, and food didn't help either. — 9 years ago
A little timid for a NZ sauv blanc. Floral, melon and citrus on the nose, with some grapefruit and mineral tanginess on the palate. — 9 years ago
Drank this too fast to rate it... Plummy but not jammy. Grippy tannin. Good with steak. — 9 years ago
Not very complex, but great with pasta bolognese. Some blueberry in there, and quite meaty — 9 years ago
Great wine to enjoy with some light apps before dinner. — 9 years ago
Classic NZ sauv blanc. Can get a big nose a mile away with citrus and melon. Palate has passion fruit, peach, and a buttery citrus finish. I drank at room temperature, but would be a stunner cold. — 9 years ago
Guilty pleasure here. Extreme cassis with some vanilla on the nose with pure jam on the palate. Not a lot of complexity, and a hot finish compared to its not-that-hot alcohol content. Smooth tannins. Great with cannelloni, and easy drinking on its own. — 9 years ago

This is what you look for in an Ontario red. It's not strong, but it has juicy flavour. Big bouquet on the nose of fresh berries, with ripples of ripe red fruit, some steel, and great acidity on the palate. Works really well with grilled chicken. — 8 years ago
