The bouquet opens up with casiss, red currant, fig and sandlewood. On the palate, raspberry infused dark chocolate, cherry and vanilla. I don't think this has past it's prime. There is still some beautiful fruit here. — 10 years ago
Elegance. Fresh violets, blue acidic fruit, pencil shavings, cherry cola. Soft tannins on the palate. Subtle burt brown sugar finish. Easy drinking. — 10 years ago
2010 Bambino Grande
Still holding up very well after 2 days open. Pepper, spice, woody, caramel, black fruit, slight hints of vegetal notes. — 10 years ago
Paired this tonight with a pecan encrusted salmon with herb butter compote. OMG! Bomb! Beautiful red fruits with just the right amount of acidity and tartness. Gravely earth pokes through on the finish. — 9 years ago
Oh... my... God... This is what Syrah is supposed to be! Red currant, smoke, mocha, cherry flavored tobacco. Satin, silk, velvety mouth feel. Mineral, earth, pepper, black fruit, black licorice, vanilla - I could go on!! Feeling very blessed right now to be drinking this! — 10 years ago
I am not a huge Pinot drinker, but, this Pinot is the style that I really enjoy. Full, structured, lush fruit. That familar Sta. Rita Hills funk, earthy and mossy. Beautiful bouquet but I crave more on the finish. — 10 years ago
This 2006 still packs a punch but the tannins are elongated and gorgeous. First impressions of creme de cassis, mulberry, currant and mocha. — 9 years ago
The Trentino region is much cooler than our sun baked California AVAs. This Pinot Grigio opens up with honeydew melon, kiwi, lemongrass and wet white stone. The mouthfeel is bright, full and rich with undertones of lemon meringue. For the price, this is a steal and a gorgeous wine. — 10 years ago
Earthy and a bit sulfuric on the nose, with bright acidity and flinty notes on the palate. Finish is tart, dried red fruit. This is a pleasant surprise for an SYV Grenache & Syrah blend. — 10 years ago
