On the nose burnt tire, wet earth, salt water, black pepper... Opens up every few minutes as it decants for something more. On the palate earth, prunes, almost some pomegranate, tobacco, cracked pepper. Tannat is a heavy grape, and the cab franc in this comes through, whether for better or for worse. — 10 years ago
Great aromas, amazing flavors of vanilla and dark fruit, great sweetness that complements the complexity. A bottle I'd love to revisit. — 10 years ago
Bright red cherry takes a back seat to oak on the nose. Vanilla and spice, green pepper. On the palate oak influence comes out in the rounded tannins, almost hollow. Medium to light body. Cherry and blackberry, some strawberry. Easy to drink, lasting finish, but all around not a standout wine. — 8 years ago
On the nose raspberry, young fruit, unripe cherry, alcohol. Tobacco and fresh wood. On the palate almost sweet, very tannic, fresh dirt, old wood, tobacco, black pepper. Very heavy, still tastes fresh; could be better in a few years. — 10 years ago

On the nose melon, peach. On the palate sweet grapes, melon. Great flavor, very light, an all around enjoyable wine. — 10 years ago
On the nose crushed flower petals, cream, reminiscent of a chard. On the palate floral notes, slight minerality with some commanding acidity. Not too complex, but doesn't exactly fall flat. — 10 years ago
