A uneventful gruner. You can find much better flavors and production quality through other producers. — 4 years ago
Loads of fruit and pencil shavings out of the gate. Wonderful first glass and then after that was so-so for something above a crianza. 2013 vintage so maybe past it’s time or maybe dormant at its current time. — 4 years ago
A nice white Rhone which we don’t do enough. No over extreme vanilla from oak or too many sweet notes from the maceration. I think most US buyers don’t appreciate that this first and foremost is a food wine. We had a salmon and broccoli combo which was great with it — 4 years ago
Amazing Rhône white blend. Comes out as a lighter version of chard but by the time the warmth and oxygen get to the wine, all the other grapes and nuances begin to materialize. Light oak sits below pear, lite caramel, apple and a beautiful acidity balance. — 4 years ago
Ok, this is good cabernet franc. Still not my favorite but worth a try. Such a prolific blending grape with color and fruit forward style that it’s fun more are trying to make it work on its own. 2nd of two recent cab franc we’ve recently tried. Interesting that we actually preferred the CA one better. — 4 years ago
Beautiful Rhône blend. Muted notes of chocolate and raspberries to start but once the decanting kicked in it was a very nice wine with some grilled salmon. If I had it to do all over again would have decanted before first glass and then let it sit for 30 mins — 4 years ago
Every once in a while, when my spouse goes to the grocery store, she comes back with wine “Gary wouldn’t buy”. It’s always fun. Some bad, some ok, some surprises. $13. And a decent blend to be honest. I don’t know what the rye barrels impart but for $13, who cares. Easy drinking on a cold night. Great with a cookie. — 4 years ago
Had this for NYE celebration. This was a brand that we really enjoyed at its early stages and then it seemed to lose its way. Not with this one. Sharply clean. But with the right sugar levels - it’s a beautiful champagne in the $25-$35 range depending on where you buy it. Pears and yeast and yummy — 4 years ago
Blanc de Blanc is so much fun for both of us. As I’ve noted in these reviews in the past, my spouses palate is sharper than mine on champagne. Picks up great/bad nuances quicker than I do. With BdB she likes it more than I do because the total cleanliness of it lets her pick out the nuances in the chard grapes. Not that I dismiss it. Steel and clean crisp acidity are the hallmarks of this great sparkling — 4 years ago

Not bad but somewhat overpriced. We’ve found better values both in this style and year. Early on came in sweet and then mellowed. Definitely serve closer to 49 degrees v anything cooler. — 3 years ago
