E-Raised Syrah 1998
Could not believe this was on the wine list at The Stained Glass. I think this was Manfred's fourth vintage...and he clearly had the gift out of the gate. Unreal aromatics that evolved seamlessly over 2 hours in the glass. Palate was incredibly layered with a combination of bright and dark fruits (I know: conflicting but correct!), incredible mouth-feel, and a seamless finish that lasted well over a minute. One of the best wines I have had. Ever.
Nice note. Great to hear E-raised continues to drink well. Haven't tasted one in quite a while.
