Delicious. Dark spice, black pepper, deep plum, earthy notes of leather and soil, a perfect compliment to a well-seared ribeye steak. Meaty, bold, assertive. Wonderful gift from a wine-snooty friend, @Jay Svoboda. — 10 years ago

Splendid. Rich, warm, feathery Pinot with bright berry notes nestled in musky yellow straw. Though a robust 13.5% alcohol, there is no burn whatsoever in this excellent buy from the Russian River Valley. I'd boat with these two bears any day. — 10 years ago
The promises made by the full, fruit-packed nose are not delivered on by this Pinot Noir's light body and dwindling finish. I had hoped that airing it out for a while might open it up a bit, but to no avail. This Acrobat stumbles. — 10 years ago

I'll admit, I was skeptical when I read "Roadside Market Red" on the label, but, maybe an hour info the bottle's opening, it is shaping up to have high character. If the first glass had a too-strong taste of fungi and mushrooms, the later pours offer a smooth, tannic fruitiness and earthy character. Definitely a wine to pair with food, and not drink alone. — 10 years ago

This Tempranillo is fantastic. I've been meaning to upload this pic for a while; I'll have to pick up another bottle to refresh my palate and make a more descriptive comment. — 10 years ago
