Manager and buyer for an independent wine retailer in London. Thirsty for everything from Albariño to Zweigelt. Also susceptible to Campari and gin.
Good, but expensive. Disappointing QPR for dark cherry, yoghurt, bit of spice and a bit of crunch. Have seen as good from Gaillac for £10. — 12 years ago
Benchmark Malagousia and very tasty it is too. So tricky to oak an aromatic variety but this handles it delicately. Tasty with Thai. — 12 years ago

Bonkers but brilliant! Everything from lemon zest and mirabelle plum to honey and sage. Better room temperature than cold. — 12 years ago
Probably the last bottle I'll ever taste - being grubbed up from 2010 vintage for Chardonnay. A shame, as this has more character and panache than most £20 Chardonnays from the area. — 12 years ago
The perfect dolcetto. Juicy, violet scented but with some proper Piedmontese tannins in there for savouriness. — 12 years ago
No holds barred. Love the fact that you can't get this flavour anywhere else in the world. As specific as any European region. — 12 years ago
