Tropical fruit, but not overly sweet. Pineapple and guava feature. Medium body. Veeeery drinkable. — a month ago

Rough around the edges for Fleurie, but full of charm. Jammy, slate-y, and whoever said licorice was right on the nose. Beautiful on night two, as well. — 3 months ago

The spec: a German white that doesn’t taste like it’s from Germany. Mission accomplished. Tart apple, brine, a liiiiitle background honey — a month ago

Unexpectedly hot at the open. Once the alcohol bleeds off a bit, it shifts into peach and, to a lesser extent, tropical fruit. — 3 months ago

Demi-sec. Pineapple, honey, lemon rind. Not what I usually look for in Chenin, but this is undeniably a good wine. Elegant, full, and with a finish that just won’t quit. — 8 months ago

A nice surprise. Begins with the big round mouth you’d expect from the grape, but immediately tightens to tart cherries, currant, and slate. — 2 months ago

This was the best that Toulouse ever made, and I had hoarded it. Opened one of my last two bottles and I’m sorry to report that’s it’s well past prime. Thin and having lost some of the mineral edge that made it special. Still sipped on might one, but it’s the end of the era. — 3 years ago
