6.2

One of the oldest wines in the cellar, an extremely inexpensive 1990 Pinot Noir from Romania. Totally oxidized. Honey and brown sugar notes, mixed with ash. It's not wine anymore, but it's not completely disgusting either, so there's that at least. — 10 years ago

9.8

2002 Heron Hill Ingle Vineyard Johannesberg Riesling, winner of the San Francisco International Wine Competition (in 2004?). Bottle signed by winemaker Thomas László. The wine has held up remarkably well over the 15 years, and in all likelihood has improved with age. Best part is its incredibly creamy texture, which complements the lemony acidity. Excellent complexity and finish. Gotta love a good Riesling! — 10 years ago

Repulsive. Starts out like watered-down apple juice and finishes like a mixture of body fluids. — 10 years ago
