8.5

Opened two bottles of the 1995 with friends today and while the wine is showing some aging properties with brown hues on the rim from one bottle and light tannic responses. The alcohol was evident, and the wines still offered very nice drinking properties. The nose is bold with deep fruit of cherry and oak and while we did not give them much time to breath they were showing better as time passed. I think the 8.5 is a good representation of the overall properties of the wines and how much we enjoyed them. — 9 years ago
