The oak aromas of vanilla and dill hit first and wrap around rich cherry and plum fruits. It’s followed by layers of tertiary elements of mushroom, forest floor, leather and game. The palate is much the same with red plum and cherry with layers of bottle age components. This medium bodied red with medium tannins has a long finish and is a joy to drink. — 6 years ago
Quick tasting note: this wine is clear, Deep ruby with hints of garnet. Nose is clean with medium (+) intensity. Aromatics are dark cherry, bramble and dusty earth for primary but tertiary are stronger showing leather, tobacco and savory qualities. On the palate the wine is dry with medium (+) acidity and high tannins. The dark cherry is persistent and so is the leather. This full bodied wine has a lingering finish. It’s nice. And it’s time to pair this with food! Cause, I’m hungry. — 6 years ago
Amazing find. This dry Chardonnay exhibits primary aromas of lemon curd and apple then adds a dash of cream and ample yogurt. The palate confirms what’s on the nose with gentle lemon, apple and yogurt but here the chalks comes through. The finish is long and soft. I really like this Chardonnay. I see more bottles of this being added to the collection soon! — 6 years ago
If I didn’t know better I would think I’m drinking a Pinot Noir, but the deep ruby red color says, not this wine. The nose is violets and earth with cherry in the mix, a hint of dried herbs too. Medium acidity and soft tannins. This has a hit of alcohol and a medium - finish. It’s easy to drink. Glad I tried...but as the bottle quickly empties...am I?
