Decanted for 8+ hours, tried at 4 different times. Tasted like church wine on first pop which had me afraid, but a slightly less divine intervention would ensue. Absolutely mouth filling, slightly port wine, I’m in the minority these days that loves a high alcohol wine but this checked a lot of boxes. Strawberry compote and bacon with a heavy mouthfeel. Can’t afford these often but once in a while on Christmas is a nice treat. Probably could hold for 10-15-20 years. — 3 months ago
For best value wine in the press I expected more. Thin, watery, maybe slightly cooked, cherry. — 2 months ago
Fireside wine with some steaks and family in the mountains. Little sweet but definitely a crowd pleaser and I was happy with the price. Love Charles Smith vino. — 3 months ago
Beautiful white blind, very focused, pear, honey, oyster shell, green olive. Perfect balance of new world fruit and old world handling. — 2 months ago
Light pale straw, lemon and grapefruit, lighter body than I had hoped for with a good amount of acidity and plenty of dry almond and cashew. Held its own against some spicy Thai, but not sure how it would do outside a patio / pool side pounder. — 2 months ago
Solid Napa Cab. Good fruit, slightly thinner than I’d hoped for but would buy again. — 3 months ago
Jocholla
Delicious plum, vanilla, blackberry cobbler, opened up well after long decant…not sure if the rumors are true but it would be odd for Constellation to leave the wine business altogether. I understand you have shareholders to keep happy, but you really see no rebound for this great product?!? — a month ago
