I can’t remember how I got ahold of this one. Drinking a 2018 on a cold Tuesday in 2025 with some burgers. Fruit has faded from the nose, but it’s still plenty sweet and jammy on the palate. Big red fruit. Acidity is still pretty zippy, plenty of tannin. Black pepper and leather notes. Rather extracted and not particularly well integrated. Stone fruit, a bit of funk, Demi-sec with good acidity to balance the sweetness. I don’t get much from the nose but it’s quite flavorful on the palate. Effervescent with good body. Fun and unfussy — 3 months ago

Drinks well three years in. Pear and baking spices, plus some funkiness hit right away (another reviewer with a more discerning nose mentioned sourdough notes). White peach and minerals provide juiciness on the palate with a clean finish. Blooms into some tropical fruit but finishes with a clean lemon/slate mineral note. Beautiful. — 18 days ago
