Better than 2011 (not as acidic). Smooth, light body with a mellow aftertaste. $14.99 at Wegmans. — 9 years ago

A little sweeter than I usually drink, but festive and pairs well with our Cristmas turkey dinner! — 9 years ago
So this is the first time I have seen this 14 year bourbon barrel reserve (in blue) offering. Apparently, it's only offered in the US. I bought it while in Indiana; haven't seen it around the DC area yet myself.
Clean and smooth. A really nice oak finish. I'd say better than the 12 year that I normally buy.
I'd say buy it, try it, and then cast your vote! — 9 years ago
This is REALLY good single malt scotch! But at upwards of $100 a bottle, it's not in my cabinet right now.
I would say that it has the complexities similar to Laphroaig (but maybe... just maybe, a bit harsher).
Still love it over all that other swill out there! — 9 years ago

Smoother than the standard black label. When I ran it through my Vinturi Spirit aerator, it was even smoother than just taking it out of the bottle straight into a glass.
Probably on part with many single malt scotch available. — 9 years ago

Wow. It's 120 proof, but just melts on the tongue! Malt and spice notes that finishes with almost sweet notes of chocolate and sherry. — 9 years ago
