Smells of plum and berry, and tastes of ripe stone fruits, secondary flavors of peppercorn and clove, tannins are velvety and makes for a delicious bottle of red merlot. — 9 years ago

This is a very interesting wine, extremely astringent tannins due to it being 100% Petit Verdot. Tastes of dark fruits, plums cherries, and if not for the effervescence it would be borderline unenjoyable. Really interesting choice to succeed Damn the Torpedoes in their line of wines but I could drink this in certain situations — 9 years ago

Blind tasted this, very interesting wine had the group I was tasting with confused because it is lighter in color than a typical Syrah... Tasted of dark berries and plum notes of smoke and baking spices.. Overall a good bottle — 9 years ago
