Best wine of the night. No sign of oxidation, pear ginger and pineapple softly integrated. Eleanor's favorite, ever. More honey than Rayas reserve CdP Blanc. — 8 years ago
Loved this. Awesome nose of licorice, sous bois, and dark cherry. Really clear and unique fragrance. Dark cherry and some meatiness coming through ending in dried fruits. Ready to drink. Top ten red burgundy experiences for me. — 8 years ago
Excellence in a bottle. Tastes like mamas apple pie. — 8 years ago
Great nose of sous bois and cherry. A little stewed. This one had sat at room temp for many years before I bought it. — 8 years ago
Eleanor's favorite that evening. Clear red, mild fragrance of pure fruits and some mushroom. A little velvety, some earth and slate. As I said, the others loved it, but It felt a little dumb. Hoped for more from the master. — 8 years ago
Salty dog. Literally. Lime and cleaner. Needs more than time. — 8 years ago
10-20 years of life left. Eleanor says it tastes a little like bricks. Every Chevillon I've had shows that in spades. Seductive red cherry, sous bois, mushroom. This was probably hard as nails 20 years ago. — 8 years ago
Not as good as previous bottles. Chalky citric and high acid. A little flat. Wanted a nutty, lemon curd profile to pair with Coquilles St. Jacques. Previous bottles were more expressive. — 8 years ago
Too young. Tannic, meatiness, over dark cherry and some spice. Dried fruit came through after an hour in the glass. Needs time and to emerge from its shell. — 8 years ago

Super duper! Balanced yellow orange orchard fruits. Good supporting acidity with honey and wax. Seamless. Bright and a little smokey. Alsatian wines are interesting and delicious and thankfully not to everyone's taste. — 8 years ago
