Wow very tasty... this wine has the taste, ook and feel of David Swift Phinney. Love the heavy bottle etched as if counting the days before freeing this wonderful full bodied very drinkable red wine. Drink this wine by itself or with chocolate cake of a thick buttered ribeye. It is more mature then it’s cheaper sibling “the Prisoner” and if I could afford to drink everyday I would. Love it! — 7 years ago
It is a beautiful spring day outside drinking this light slightly chilled Rosé from near Marseille. Perfect for enjoying the simple pleasures of spring... a blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre refreshing fruit forward perfect for simple light dishes! Watermelon salad makes a perfect pairing. Love it... price is exceptional. — 7 years ago
Light yellow, straw color, light and refreshing and clean. Hints of sweet fruit apricot, semi dry, melon. inexpensive and a very nice everyday wine Nice wine for warm day and light food — 3 years ago
One of my favorite wines that never disappoints. Rich dark and full flavored. This wine I love drinking with and/or without a meal. Wines made from Howell Mountain grapes offer exceptional ripe wines and Spence is full of dark fruit. If I could have a choice I would always choose a wine from Howell Mountian. — 7 years ago
Wow having Easter Dinner with friends and decided to open this 2010 Cabernet... amazing and mature. This wine has complexity and full of flavor. Excellent with food. Silky texture coating my mouth and I feel my tastebuds have opened to be super sensitive to subtle flavors... excellent with a buttery prime rib meal and equally with rich chocolate lava cake. — 7 years ago
Very drinkable now. This wine should please the American taste as a fruit forward and pleasant but excellent for the price. A great affordable wine to order while dinning out. — 7 years ago
A wonderful surprise. The 2012 Napanook is full bodied and very drinkable. Enjoying it with Lamp over looking a volcano at ”The Rim” restaurant on Big Island. Fruit forward rich in vollitiles and sweet fruit aromas, with a lasting finish. Moderately priced and pleasantl to drink! Highly recommend! — 5 years ago
Wine was as expected. Flavorful but as an addition to a fine dinner only. Do not drink this wine without food. This wine will excite your tastebuds and help heighten your senses for an amazing meal. On it’s own it is not fulfilling, as an addition to a rich meaty meal this wine will compliment and l accentuate flavors. I love this wine as an important course to help enhance an exceptional meal. Sophisticated and complex... but clearly am supporting role to an exceptional line up of excellent food and environment. Other wines may be more appropriate but in addition to varied parings this wine will not disappoint. — 7 years ago
Wow an amazing find at the Woodlands. Outside of Houston Texas. Crush is a wine bar that knows and is a big fan of one of my favorite wine makers Heidi Barrett. This was the best selection tonight of Dominus 2012, Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, and Silver Oak 2007 Library release... all exceptional full bodied wines. If ever an opportunity to procure a bottle of the ever so silky smooth fruit forward Au Sommet please go for it. Incredibly complex blend of subtle flavor. This is a siping wine that needs to be appreciated with the most special people in your world. Obviously this is well paired with duck prepared as the French would suggest. My highest Regards to Heidi for conceiving this wine. — 7 years ago
