flavor: spiced chocolate, maraschino cherry, vanilla. the finish is where this wine really exhibits some interesting character, however. notes of mole and after a while into a strange but not unwelcome cheesey quality which lingers.

the nose is really, really nice with all kinds of fruity funk. but, wow. the acidity on this is ripping. almost metallic. the palate is so incredibly sour, fresh, vibrant with a soft wood/cidery undertone. the finish really balances the wine out with notes of wild strawberry and rhubarb. what a wild bottle. what a fantastic wine. — 3 years ago
