Quite interesting. Started off with a liquor finish that mostly blew off. Alcohol still comes through - like a brandy or cognac. Reminiscent of mead as well. Sugar cane. Faint apricot — 8 years ago
Dried blueberries on the nose, with a touch of egg cream. Palate - licorice, dark fruits, leather, tannins. Surprisingly tight for a 2003. Curious what would be like 10 yrs - wish we’d held on to it — 7 years ago
Possibly past its prime? The aromatics blew off quickly. Strong, pronounced tannins. Bell pepper and sour cherry. — 8 years ago
Plastic-y on the nose so we decanted for an hour. Dried Apricot Jolly Rancher with a sour finish. — 8 years ago
Loved this. Quirky — 7 years ago
Surprisingly pink in color, which is only underscored by the fact that it's a dead ringer for those strawberry candies grandmas have. It's still quite interesting (there's a darkness, over ripe, almost gooey strawberry liquor element). — 7 years ago
Toasted Farro the nose. Tannins for days. Cranberry skins. Marjoram — 8 years ago

Wanted to like this more. A little tar. Vinegar. Flint stone Vitamins. Still fun - but I can’t help wonder what another vintage would be like. (We had the ‘74) — 6 years ago
