Solid Old School New School!
This has oak. Oh yeah, definitely oak, but in a good way. With lemon and flint a nice malolactic mouthfeel. This is the perfect wine for those that like old school Chardonnay and need to take a wine to someone's house or someone who doesn't like old school but needs to bring a bottle to an old school lover's house. I need more of this. What a great wine day. BOOM!! — 8 years ago
Solid performance!
This is a golden globe in my glass 😂 This Hawke's Bay Chardonnay is great value for money for under $20.
There is decent fruit with lemon and a bit of lime rind. Malolactic fermentation gives it a decent mouthfeel and acidity keeps it interesting. Good job Church Road! — 8 years ago

Semisweet. Like me.
This one was interesting. The sweetness was definitely present on the palate but there wasn't the cloying sensation on the back of the palate despite lower (med-) levels of acidity.
The nose is fairly closed but some petrol and flint were present. The palate is very mineral with a bit of lemon. The finish is moderate with a lemon rind flavour.
This is pretty good with spicy chicken wings which is awesome. Cheers! — 8 years ago
