Pretty dry, some salinity. I expected super sweet, and this was a pleasant surprise. Tastes like pair, pretty good on its own or in a grapefruit mimosa or ice cream float. Will be buying this again next time I need my sparkling wine fix. — 9 years ago
Day 1: Very light and fruity- I was expecting something heavy and a little bitter, based in what I'd read of the grape. But it was quite easy to drink and went well with my steak and salad. I would have picked slightly lighter fare than steak if I had known this wine would be so lively! If I can get this again, I will age it to see how it compares.
Day 2: Matured noticeably, much more body, less easy drinking but still delicious, if not moreso. I now get a slight oak(?) edge, with notes of coca. I do get a bit of fruit, but it's bow blackcurrant. So if you did not like this Tempranillo when you opened it, try it the next day. It transforms quite a bit. I liked both. A perfect wine experience.

Light and refreshing, but with something nutty about the smell and the taste of it. I like it, gives it a nice autumnish feel to it, especially with the squash and cheese ravioli and salad I paired it with. Should drink up nicely after dinner on its own as well. — 8 years ago
Day 1: I like it. Doesn't make an impression on me like the other appassimento I've had. In this one, the raisin and chocolate notes are not as prominent and the wine is not sweet, unlike the other appassimento I've had (A Beautiful Waste of Time). That said, I do like it. I paired the other appassimento with chocolate and slightly sweet desserts, but this wine I think could hold its own with a meal. I will update this review when I have dinner tonight. — 9 years ago
My first Tempranillo. Very light and fruity- I was expecting something heavy and a little bitter, based in what I'd read of the grape. But it was quite easy to drink and went well with my steak and salad. I would have picked slightly lighter fare than steak if I had known this wine would be so lively! If I can get this again, I will age it to see how it compares.
EDIT: Day 1 it tasted of red fruit, mainly cherry. On Day 2 this wine has matured noticeably. I now get a slight oak(?) edge, with notes of coca. I do get a bit of fruit, but it's bow blackcurrant. So if you, like some reviewers on NakedWines, did not like this Tempranillo when you opened it, try it the next day. It transforms quite a bit. I liked both. — 9 years ago
Dry but still very light and fruity, might be just a touch of residual sugar left. Taste was a lovely contrast to the pasta I had it with, think it would go great with salmon or Chinese food. Would buy again. — 9 years ago
As it turns out, I am a fan of oaked Chardonnay. This one is slightly oaked, tasting of squash and nut or nutty squash depending on the glass. It is a tad buttery, and rich, but I liked that. I would like to have it as I watch a comedy movie. Polished the bottle off faster than expected. — 9 years ago
Overall taste of squash with notes of walnut and pecan, or nutty with squash notes depending on the glass. Slightly buttery, and overally very flavourful and powerful. I loved it. Perhaps oaked Chardonnays are my thing?

Nice, easy drinker. Personally, I would have this wine on its own for dessert, but I like dry, tannic wines. Very little tannins in this one. — 8 years ago
