First tastes weren’t great but once the wine opened up it showed notes of sharp lemon curd coupled with a lovely savory oxidization into the mid palette. A very fun vintage as the winemakers say! — 6 years ago
So much yum with this one. Subtle sweetness but lovely citrus clarity to balance with soft bubbles. — 7 years ago
It’s all about the tension between fruit, acid and body. Really exceptional and a wonderful value at $30. — 6 years ago
A deep hazy pink in color, this rosé features generous strawberry fruit (with a touch of sweetness), coupled with an initial kick of acid. Unlike conventional rosés, it has decidedly more body and funk that build into the mid palette. These qualities, however, don’t feel reductive as tart red fruit emerges once again on the finish to leave a soft but juicy endpoint. — 7 years ago
Absolutely love this $15 bottle of rosé. Green pepper, driving acidity, bursting red fruit, plus a saline and mineral mid palette into some subtle floral sweetness at the end. Way more complex and dynamic than expected. — 6 years ago
A bit more of a muscular Chenin than French varieties but still delicious. An alluring wet nose, palette loaded with fruit like peach, persimmon and quince. Big in body with an intense mineral grip. Would be great with fried food or seafood. — 6 years ago
Not your grandma’s Pinot but it highlights the funk and grit of Jura while providing a sour cherry bomb, wild strawberry wisp and a touch of oxidization. — 6 years ago
